Ireland’s second pool match at Rugby World Cup 2019 will be against host nation Japan at the Shizuoka Stadium ECOPA on Saturday 28th September.

Ireland previously met the Brave Blossoms during the pool stages of the 1991 and 1995 editions of the tournament. Ireland won those matches 32-16 and 50-28 respectively.
